GEOL 1401 - Earth Science I

(4:3:3) This course is a survey of geology, astronomy, meteorology, and oceanography for non-science majors.  The Earth’s resources, natural disasters, climate, weather, and oceans will be examined with an emphasis on their effect on humans.  Laboratory activities will cover methods used to collect and analyze data in geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy. Semester Hours: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3
