FIRT 1333 - Fire Chemistry I


(3:3:0) An overview of the chemical nature and properties of compounds as related to the fire service.  Fundamental laws of chemistry, states of matter, gas laws, chemical bonding, and thermodynamics.  This course meets Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) Model Curriculum core requirements.  Fire service experience is recommended but not required for enrollment.
