RNSG 1209 - Introduction to Nursing


(2:2:0) This course provides an overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as a provider of patient-centered care, member of the health care team, patient safety advocate, coordinator of care, and member of a profession. Topics include nursing history, knowledge, judgment, theory, research, interprofessional roles, skills, professional values with a legal/ethical framework, and professional writing using the American Psychological Association (APA) format.
