Drive Train Certificate

Offered at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center
Students may elect to complete one or both of the following programs and receive a Certificate of Proficiency in the selected areas of study. The Drive Train Certificate Option emphasizes automotive electrical systems, brake systems, steering and suspension, manual and automatic transmissions and transaxles, as well as engine repair. In addition, students enrolling in the two practicum courses will learn valuable workplace skills on site at local automotive dealerships and businesses.
This is a TSI-waived certificate program. Students declaring these majors are not subject to the TSI-regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.

* Although not a requirement for this certificate, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
** Tech Prep related courses that may be articulated with high school.
*** AUMT 2328 may be taken in place of AUMT 1166 and 2166 Practicum Courses. Consult program advisor. |
