Offered at the SPC Reese Center
The Applied Rehabilitation Psychology program offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree. Classes are designed to develop the skills and competencies needed for graduates to enter employment and/or higher education in the field of behavioral science. Students will demonstrate skills in actual facilities such as Lubbock Regional Mental Health and Mental Retardation and the Lubbock State School. Graduates from this program receive academic and clinical knowledge in the areas of mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse and physical disabilities. Students who satisfactorily complete the prescribed curriculum will be eligible to receive the Associate of Applied Science degree.
Program advisor is Mollie McCook-Melton, associate professor of applied rehabilitation psychology.

*Although not a requirement for this degree, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
