South Plains College and Amarillo College have established a collaborative partnership that enables Amarillo College to offer the Medical Laboratory Technology program to students within commuting distance of South Plains College. Students will be able to complete the curriculum for the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology online through Amarillo College, with laboratory components conducted at one of the South Plains College campuses. This degree prepares students for employment in a variety of medical laboratory settings including hospital, physician’s office, and research laboratories, public health offices, pharmaceutical companies, criminal investigation agencies and veterinary reference labs.
