Offered at the Levelland Campus
The Sound Technology program is designed to provide individuals with preparation and experience for entry-level recording engineer positions. Graduates will possess basic knowledge of techniques, procedures and operation of equipment used in the studio recording industry. This includes training in selection and placement of microphones, analysis of acoustical environments, use of effects, troubleshooting, engineering, and production techniques.
Students successfully completing the following curriculum will meet all requirements for the Associate of Applied Science degree.
Program advisors are Stuart Moody, program coordinator and instructor in sound technology; Jerry Stoddard, associate professor of sound technology; and Chris Neal, instructor in sound technoogy.
