Technical Graphics and Design, AAS (Major Code 8622)


Offered at the Levelland Campus

Technical Graphics and Design is a field that presents many opportunities in high-tech industry. The Technical Graphics and Design Technology curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the essential knowledge and skills in technical drawing on a computer and use of specialized software.  Upon obtaining an Associate of Applied Science Degree, the student is prepared to enter the workforce as an entry-level technical graphics and design specialist in the fields of architecture,engineering, manufacturing, surveying, and related industries.  A certificate program is also offered to those students interested in pursuing a career in technical graphics and design, but who do not wish to take the academic courses involved in obtaining an Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Program advisor is Phyllis Kennon, assistant professor of engineering graphics and design.
