The Applied Rehabilitation Psychology Program is a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive theoretical and application approach to rehabilitation psychology. Studies in the program include courses in professional ethics, areas of mental health and mental retardation, health psychology, and substance abuse, as well as, 520 hours in clinical psychology. A key component of the program is the combination of academic and clinical application in preparing the student for higher education opportunities and/or employment.
Program advisor is Mollie McCook-Melton, Professor of Applied Rehabilitation Psychology and Allied Health Department Chair.

*Although not a requirement for this degree, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
