Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate Certificate (Major Code 8022C)

Offered at the SPC Reese Center

This 20-semester-hour curriculum prepares students to be competent entry-level EMT-Intermediates. Students who complete this curriculum will possess the knowledge, skills and personal attitudes and behaviors necessary for practice as entry-level EMT-Intermediates. All requirements to write the Texas Department of State Health Services and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians examinations for certification as EMT-Intermediate are satisfied. Upon successful completion of the following curriculum, students receive a Certificate of Proficiency.

First Semester*

Total Semester Hours: 13

Third Semester

Total Semester Hours: 1

Notes

*Although not a requirement for this certificate, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
