Students majoring in areas of science, besides those listed previously, can generally complete two years of work at South Plains College before transferring to a university. There are some highly specialized areas of science that may require the student to transfer after the first two semesters at South Plains College. To obtain the Associate of Science degree, students must meet the minimum course requirements for the degree as outlined in the Arts and Sciences Division  Section of this catalog.
