This option is designed to prepare qualified graduates for entry-level employment in the automotive industry in areas other than being a service technician.  Emphasis will be placed on service writing, parts sales, vehicle sales, and/or management in any one of the previous three areas with customer relations being a core component.  Students enrolling in this option will also be able to learn valuable workplace skills on site at local automotive dealerships and businesses.

This is a TSI required certificate program.  Students declaring this major are subject to TSI regulations.

Due to the flexibility of the curriculum in this program, it is essential for students to meet with an advisor to complete a degree plan.  Program advisors at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center are Gary Ufford, Professor and Program Coordinator of Advanced Automotive Technology and Dr. Jim Wilhelm, Professor of Business Administration.  Program advisors on the Levelland campus are Gary Ham, Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Advanced Automotive Technology and Cindy Brown, Professor of Merchandising.
