Diesel Engine and Controls Certificate (Major Code 6424C)

Offered at the Levelland Campus

Students may elect to complete the following curriculum and receive a Certificate of Proficiency in Diesel Service Technology with emphasis in electronic controls and systems, fuel and fuel control systems, diesel engines, and advanced diesel tune-up and troubleshooting. 

This is a TSI-waived certificate. Students declaring this major are not subject to the TSI regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.

Program advisor is Whitney Owens, professor of diesel service technology.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
