Offered at the Levelland Campus
The Sound Technology program is designed to provide individuals with preparation and experience for entry-level recording engineer positions. Graduates will possess basic knowledge of techniques, procedures and operation of equipment used in the studio recording industry. This includes training in selection and placement of microphones, analysis of acoustical environments, use of effects, troubleshooting, engineering, and production techniques.
Completion of the program curriculum awards an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Program advisors are Chris Neal, program coordinator and instructor in sound technology; Stuart Moody, Creative Arts Department chairperson and assistant professor of sound technooogy; Jerry Stoddard, associate professor of sound technology; and Rudolfo Guardiola, instructor in sound technology.
