Technical Graphics and Design Basic CAD Technician Certificate ( Major Code 8622C )

This certificate program focuses primarily on Technical Graphics and Design of basic architectural and mechanical components. Individuals completing this certificate program are qualified to enter the workforce as entry-level technical graphics and design specialists in the fields of architecture, engineering, manufacturing, surveying and related industries.
This is a TSI-waived certificate. Students declaring this major are not subject to TSI regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum. Completion of the following curriculum awards a Certificate of Proficiency.

*Although not a requirements, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 the first semester of enrollment. **CTE related course that may be articulated with high schoo. ***Capstone Experience: To qualify for the Certificate of Proficiency, students must pass a comprehensive written exam and project during last semester in DFTG 2300 Intermediate Architectural Drafting-Residential. ****Consult program advisor for proper choice of approved elective to complete certificate requirements. |
