Pre-Nursing (Major Code 1203)

This transfer guide is designed to meet the requirements for transfer to a university school of nursing that offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This is not an Associate Degree Nursing program. Completion of the recommended courses meets the requirements for the Associate of Science degree.

Faculty advisors include Sue Ann Lopez, chairperson of the Nursing Department, Dr. Sam Wages, chairperson of the Biology Department, Dr. Jackie Wright, professor of anatomy and physiology, and Jim Young, professor of biology.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
**Consult faculty advisor for proper choice of course.

RN Diploma Preparation

These recommended courses are designed to meet the requirements for admission into a hospital-based school of nursing. Faculty advisors include Sue Ann Lopez, chairperson of the Nursing Department, Dr. Sam Wages, chairperson of the Biology Department, Dr. Jackie Wright, professor of anatomy and physiology, and Jim Young, professor of biology.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take HUDV 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
**Both BIOL 2401 and 2402 must be completed within five years prior to enrollment date at Covenant School of Nursing.
