Applied Rehabilitation Psychology, AAS (Major Code 8029)

Offered at the SPC Reese Center

The Applied Rehabilitation Psychology program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive theoretical and clinical application approach to rehabilitation psychology. The program includes courses in professional ethics, areas of mental health, intellectual deficits, health psychology and substance abuse, as well as, 520 hours in clinical psychology.  A key component of the program is the combination of academic and clinical application in preparing the student for additional higher education opportunities and/or employment. Completion of the recommended curriculum meets the requirements for the Associate of Applied Science degree.

To qualify for the Associate of Applied Science degree, the student must complete a Capstone Experience during the final semester of the program.

Program advisor is Mollie McCook-Melton, professor of applied rehabilitation psychology.
