Offered at the Levelland Campus
Design communications focuses on digital illustration and layout techniques for print, web design, video graphics and multimedia. Students are trained in the use of industry-standard graphics and design software and post-design processes for the field. Students completing the following curriculum will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree. To qualify for the A.A.S. degree, the student must complete a Capstone Experience in the final semester of the program.
Program advisor is Paul Davidson, assistant professor of design communications.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take EDUC 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
**CTE related course that may be articulated with high school.
***Consult program advisor for proper choice of course. Students must choose either the Art Specialization Track or the Internet Specialization Track. Art Specialization students interested in artistic approach to graphic arts should choose ARTS 1316 Drawing I and ARTS 1317 Drawing II. Internet Specialization students interested in programming approach to graphic arts should take COSC 1309 Logic Design and COSC 1415 Fundamentals of Programming.
