The Fire Technology Advanced Firefighter Certificate of Proficiency is designed for the advancement of professional Texas Commission on Fire Protection certified firefighters. The Emergency Medicine Specialization prepares students to be competent firefighters as well as competent entry-level advanced EMTs.  Students who complete this curriculum will possess the knowledge, skills, and personal attributes and behaviors necessary to work as firefighter/advanced EMTs.  Attainment of the Certificate does not result in Basic Firefighter Certification or Advanced EMT Certification.
