Students who complete the EMT-Basic curriculum will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to practice as entry level EMT-Basic.  Prior to enrollment in the EMT-Basic course, students must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card and shot record on file.  Upon successful completion of EMSP 1401 and EMSP 1160 students will be scheduled to take the certification exam for The National Registry of EMT’s. Students must be TSI compliant in Reading to qualify for this Certificate program.  Advisor is Jerry Findley, program director and assistant professor of  emergency medical services.
