The Cinema and Video Production program is designed to provide individuals with preparation and experience for entry-level video production technical positions. Graduates will possess knowledge of techniques, procedures, and operation of equipment used in the cinema and video production industry. Students will work in a post-production environment, such as making movies, commercials, documentaries, and music videos, as well as working in live production environments, working on the set of live concerts, newscasts, and other live events. This includes training in cameras, composition, audio production, graphics, lighting, and editing.

 

Students who successfully complete the curriculum, which includes a Capstone Experience during the final semester of the program, will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take EDUC 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
