Cinema and Video Production Advanced Certificate, CIP Code 100200

This certificate option provides advanced skills for employment in the cinema and video production field and is designed to be a continuation for the basic Video Production Technology certificate. Students must complete the Video Production Technology basic certificate program as a prerequisite to enrollment. Students will work in post-production environments, such as making movies, commercials, documentaries, and music videos, as well as working in live production environments, working on the set of live concerts, newscasts, and other live events. This includes training in cameras, composition, audio production, graphics, lighting, and editing. Students who complete the following curriculum receive an advanced Certificate of Proficiency. To qualify for the Certificate of Proficiency, the student must complete a Capstone Experience in the final semester of the program.

This is a TSI-waived certificate. Students declaring this major are not subject to the TSI regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.
