The following curriculum is designed to prepare students for academic transfer to a baccalaureate program where they may complete requirements for a teaching degree with an emphasis in secondary education. At South Plains College you will complete your college core educational requirements, two educational-specific courses, and some of the content-specific coursework for your secondary content certification exam. Articulation agreements and transfer guides that support the seamless transfer into university programs have been established with Texas Tech University, Lubbock Christian University, Wayland Baptist University, and West Texas A&M University. and Texas Women’s University. This curriculum satisfies all of the requirements for the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. However, additional course work may be accepted by the transfer university. Consult faculty advisor for more information.
