Offered at the Levelland Campus, the Lubbock Center, and the Plainview Extension Center.

The Office Administration program prepares students for work in today’s fast-paced offices.  All students will learn a variety of software programs while learning the fundamental concepts of business.  Become skilled in computer knowledge, diversity, teamwork approach, communication skills, interpersonal skills and the Internet to meet the needs of dynamic business. 

The curriculum for the two-year Office Administration program is designed for the student interested in mastering office skills and procedures necessary to qualify for employment as an administrative assistant. Students will satisfactorily complete the prescribed curriculum of 60 hours, which includes a Capstone Experience in the final semester of the program, and will be eligible to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree. Keyboarding competency of 20 words a minute with five or fewer errors is strongly recommended before entering the certificate or associate degree plans.

The curriculum for the three one-year certificate programs will lead to a Certificate of Proficiency in Office Administration or Customer Service Representative.  Students will complete a capstone experience in these programs as well.  These certificate options are TSI-waived programs. 

Program advisor on the Levelland Campus is Krisha Hoelscher, instructor in accounting associate and business. Program advisor at the Lubbock Center is Pat Dennis, professor of office administration. The Plainview Extension Center advisor is Deborah Zacher.

*Although not a requirement, students are strongly encouraged to take EDUC 1100 during the first semester of enrollment.
