Offered at the Levelland Campus and the Lubbock CTE Center
The two-year Electrician and Power Transmission Technology program is designed to prepare qualified graduates to work in the electrical industry. The curriculum provides a sequence of electrical courses approved by the electrical industry, which meet the needs of the industry as well as the goals and desires of the student. The Electrician Specialization prepares graduates with adequate knowledge and skills to enter and competentely perform in the electrical industry. Graduates are readily employable with electrical companies within college service area and throughout Texas.
Two optional Certificates of Proficiency are also offered where all course credit is applicable toward the Associate of Applied Science degree. To qualify for the A.A.S. degree, the student must complete a Capstone Experience during the final semester of the program.
Levelland campus program advisor is Paul Harbin, Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Electrician and Power Transmission Technology. Lubbock CTE Center program advisor is Diana Malone, Instructor in Electrician and Power Transmission Technology.
