This certificate option provides advanced skills for employment in the cinema and video production field and is designed to be a continuation for the basic Cinema and Video Production certificate. Students must complete the Cinema and Video Production basic certificate program as a prerequisite to enrollment. Students will work in post-production environments, such as making movies, commercials, documentaries, and music videos, as well as working in live production environments and working on the set of live concerts, newscasts, and other live events. This includes training in cameras, composition, audio production, graphics, lighting, and editing. Students who complete the following curriculum receive an advanced certificate. To qualify for the certificate, the student must complete a Capstone Experience in the final semester of the program. This is a TSI-waived certificate. Students declaring this major are not subject to the TSI regulations unless they enroll in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.
