Sociology as a program of study is intended to meet the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree with transfer to a university. The Field of Study in sociology allows a student to obtain up to 15 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for a sociology major and to transfer. Students need to meet with their advisor to assure the courses will transfer to their selected university. The faculty advisors are Robert Wood, Associate Professor of Sociology and Social Work; Morgan Keener, Assistant Professor of Sociology; Brant Farrar, Professor of Sociology; Elaina Fitzgerald, Instructor in Sociology; Dr. Sherley Rios, Associate Professor of Sociology.

NOTE:
*Consult your advisor for proper choice of courses. Foreign Language is a requirement at most transfer universities so it is recommended that you talk with your advisor about completing your language requirement while at South Plains College. |
