The Fire Technology certificate in Fire Administration is designed for the advancement of professional Texas Commission on Fire Protection certified firefighters. The Fire Administration prepares students to be competent administrators in the fire service. Students who complete this curriculum will possess the knowledge, skills, and personal attributes and behaviors necessary to work as fire administrators at the company-officer level and higher. Texas commissioned Structural Firefighters may receive credit for the Basic Fire Academy series (FIRS 1301, FIRS 1407, FIRS 1313, FIRS 1319, FIRS 1203, FIRS 1323, FIRS 1329, and FIRS 1433) and other TCFP certifications once they have completed all other degree requirements.
