WLDG 2447 - Advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding

(4:2:8) This is an advanced course in gas metal arc welding (GMAW) that includes instruction in process selection, troubleshooting, and the correct selection and application of consumables. Students will practice GMAW of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum on structural joints in all positions. Semester Hours: 4 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 8 Pre-requisite: WLDG 1412, WLDG 1417, & WLDG 1434. Co-requisite: WLDG 2406 & WLDG 2451. CB or CIP Approval #:
