ENGR 2301 - Engineering Mechanics I - Statics (3:3:1) Basic theory of engineering mechanics, using calculus, involving the description of forces, moments, and couples acting on stationary engineering structures; equilibrium in two and three dimensions; free-body diagrams; friction; centroids; centers of gravity; and moments of inertia.
Prerequisite: a ‘C’ or better in MATH 2414 Calculus II and PHYS 2425 University Physics I Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 1 Pre-requisite: MATH 2414, PHYS 2425
