WLDG 2451 - Advanced Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

(4:2:8) This is an advanced course in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) that includes instruction in process selection, trouble shooting, and the correct selection of consumables. Students will practice GTAW of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum on structural joints in all positions. Semester Hours: 4 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 8 Pre-requisite: WLDG 1412, WLDG 1417, & WLDG 1434. Co-requisite: WLDG 2406 & WLDG 2447.
