KINE 1126 - Dance I: Introduction to Latin, Swing & Ballroom Dance (1:0:3) This course offers a beginning level study of a variety of ballroom (smooth), Latin (rhythm), and social dances; students will study technique and a variety of dance steps within each style. Ballroom dances may include Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. Latin dances may include Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive, and East Coast Swing. Social dances may include Salsa, Nightclub Two-Step, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Merengue, Bachata, and Country Western Two-Step. This course may be repeated once for credit. Semester Hours: 1 Lecture Hours: 0 Lab Hours: 3
