RNSG 1412 - Nursing Care of the Childbearing and Childrearing Family
Study of the concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing and childrearing families. Application of systematic problem-solving processes and critical thinking skills, including a focus on the childbearing family during the perinatal periods and the childrearing family from birth to adolescence; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. Semester Hours: 4 Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 0 Pre-requisite: ENGL 1301, BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, PSYC 2314, RNSG 1413, , RNSG 1144, RNSG 1160, RNSG 1441, RNSG 2460, RNSG 2313, RNSG 1443, RNSG 2461. If Advanced Placement Track RNSG 2307 and RNSG 2260 with a grade of “C” or better in each. This course lends itself to a blocked approach.
