Psychology as a program of study is intended to meet the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree with transfer to a university. The Field of Study in psychology allows a student to obtain up to 18 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for a psychology major and to transfer. Students need to meet with their advisor to assure the courses will transfer to their selected university. The faculty advisors are Dr. Peggy Skinner, Chair of Behavioral Science and Professor of Psychology; Dr. Alicia Barr, Professor of Psychology; Rick Herbert, Professor of Psychology and Sociology; Robyn Inmon, Professor of Psychology; Marcie Miller, Associate Professor of Psychology; Dr. Armida Rosiles, Professor of Psychology.

- GOVT 2305 - Federal Government
PSYC 2314 or PSYC 2308. Please visit with advisor. Language, Philosophy, and Culture Core* Life and Physical Science /Core with Lab Elective - Please visit with an advisor.
FOURTH SEMESTER
- GOVT 2306 - Texas Government
PSYC Elective: Select one from PSYC 2317, PSYC 2319, PSYC 2320, or PSYC2330. PSYC Elective: Select one from PSYC 2317, PSYC 2319, PSYC 2320, or PSYC2330. Oral Communication Core: SPCH1315 or SPCH 1321
NOTE
*Consult your advisor for proper choice of courses. Foreign Language is a requirement at most transfer universities, so it is recommended that you talk with your advisor about completing your language requirement while at South Plains College. |
